During this short course, we will learn what a scam is, look at different types of scams and the red flags you can look out for, plus all the steps you can take to protect yourself from being scammed.

Understanding Debt

Debt, utang, hutang, အကြွေး, ණය. What is it and how to avoid it? Learn how to understand the true cost of debt in this course.

Whether you are thinking of borrowing or are already paying off existing loans, by the end of this session you will better understand interest rates, fees, and other costs of a loan. Learn the good and bad reasons to take on debt , and tips to avoid getting trapped in debt. Start to plan for how to manage and pay off existing debt.

Debt Counselling Explained

If you or your friends and family need help managing debt, learn how debt counselling can help and what the steps in this process are.

Find out more

Experts from AMP will help you understand the differences between licensed moneylenders and loan sharks and give you tips on how to deal with both types of lenders. You will be given an introduction to the usefulness of debt counselling should you need help managing debt, with the steps in the process clearly explained along with case studies of MDWs who have gone through debt counselling. If you are interested to participate further in debt counselling, information on how to do so will be provided.

✓ Learn about the steps in the debt counselling process
✓ Understand the benefits of debt counselling through case studies of MDWs who went through debt counselling
✓ Learn to spot the differences between licensed and unlicensed money lenders and regulations around borrowing

Building Your Resilience

Resilience is about being able to stay strong during difficult times. Learn how to manage challenging situations and remain strong in this course.

In this session, discover what resilience means and how to develop your own resilience. Learn techniques to become more resilient in facing challenges, dealing with difficulties, and managing your emotions, so you can bounce back and continue working towards your goals.

What you will learn

✓ Understand resilience is about being able to stay strong during difficult times and to bounce back quickly
✓ Use reframing as a technique to handle a challenging situation differently and arrive at a more positive outcome
✓ Learn about the five key pillars of resilience in our lives and how to develop them
