aidha brings change

aidha works to develop business leaders, leaders who will grow the future:  for their families, their communities, and their home economies.

aidha nurtures strength.

To do this, aidha has developed a learning programme that instills not just knowledge but also a sense of self worth.  Along with business insight and practical savings, aidha fosters:

  • confidence
  • communications skills
  • business management skill
  • commitment to change
  • life plans, and
  • a can-do attitude.

Our methods and intended impact are expressed in aidha’s Theory of Change, a new model of social impact designed and implemented in September 2010.  Using this model, we have identified and are now collecting a series of social metrics, which we will post here early this summer. Until then, let us share with you some simple numbers:

  • aidha’s annual campus enrollment:  ~  350
  • enrollment since 2006:  ~ 1500
  • enrolled volunteers:  ~500
  • committed volunteers (> 20 hours/month):  ~100
  • compass clubs launched:  47

Compass Clubs achieve!

Over the past twelve months, our students have saved almost S$140,000. On average, each club of 10 – 12 ladies saves over S$9,000, or approximately S$240 per student per month.

With average salaries of just over $500/month, we know our students are now saving almost 50 percent of their monthly income. That is impressive. Those are aidha results!
