the new venture clubs at aidha

aidha is committed to building effective, successful small business leaders. aidha is committed to entrepreneurship.

Currently, our entrepreneurship course is delivered in a traditional classroom setting by experienced aidha faculty who bring years of management experience into the classroom. The course includes 14 intensive 3-hour sessions devoted to discussion of strategy and corporate planning, marketing, operations, and business finance.  The final product of the course is a detailed business plan detailing the design and launch of the students’ intended business.

In the fall of 2011, aidha will replace this powerful learning programme with the new venture clubs programme. This new programme will feature 18 90-minute learning sessions, all of which will be organized around analysis of real-world business cases.

The case method is a learning approach featured in the world’s most prestigious graduate business schools. At aidha, we adapt the method slightly to suit our student need, replacing written cases with short, powerful video cases. By viewing, analysing and discussing these cases, students will realize:

  • a real world perspective on business problems & solutions
  • perspective on a multitude of business industries  & types
  • skill & confidence in problem definition, and
  • practical insight into strategy, marketing, operating, and finance issues.

Importantly, students will also be introduced to a powerful set of role models in the case protagonists.

We look forward to introducing the venture clubs!
